Just not good. He also hasn’t molted yet this winter. I took him off pellets in the fall and put him entirely on veggies, a little seed, ‬ ‪and slowly added about 10 percent pellets back. He gets 14 hours of dark each night. On the darkest days this winter, he only got 9am-5pm daylight and that actually seemed to work. The problem is tha‬t this is not compatible with my work hours and, even if I put him to bed as soon as I get home, it’s still more than 8 hours for him. He is in an indoor aviary in my home with full spectrum lighting. The lights are on a timer, but we are also on the tenth floor, so even with dark curtains, we get light until the sun sets. He sleeps in a dark room with no windows in a covered sleep cage. If there is ANY sound, he will wake up and start regurgitating. I think this is also when he’s mutilating his feathers. There are a couple of things that happened this month that I think may have contributed: my roommate’s cat got into their old sleep room and knocked his cage over with him in it. He was fine, but we were both shaken and the cage was destroyed. So he’s now having to adjust to a new sleep cage and a new sleep room. I’ve also had a foster budgie for the last six months who would wake up around 3am every day and begin chirping. All my birds have had lengthy, bad moults this winter and both my own budgie’s Ceres have gone brown. Kuzco has always been hormonal, but this is the first time it has escalated this far. He’s always been able to travel with me and live with a flexible routine without issue and right now, if there’s any slight variance at all, it sets him off. I know others here have had their birds on Lupron for hormonal issues, but I am currently on Lupron myself and want to avoid putting kuzco on it at all costs because it truly is very aggressive. I’m sorry for the length of this post. I wanted to be as thorough as possible because my vet and I are both stumped. I don’t know if it’s a combination of things that has them all struggling, or if it can be narrowed down. But I’ve had him for five years and he’s my pride and joy, so it’s been really hard emotionally watching him destruct when I feel like I’m doing everything possible. EDIT: grammar.

It's unfortunate that the norm is for most of anime to not capitalize on its romantic setups and progression. Keeping the status quo is fine and dandy for certain stories, but, gosh darn, I imagine most everyone wants to see their favorite (canon) romantic pairings actually go somewhere! Well Amagami SS has a sequel where you get just that but 2 episodes for each girl;) Really?! That sounds wonderful. I like the build-up and the budding romance as much as the next person, but seeing them in their relationship, together, is just oh so good. It's part of the reason why I like Chu2Ren more than Chu2Koi. :3 Happy to see you didn't hate this, maybe not watching Amagami SS helped haha Yea, no hate from me. I'm a romance man at heart, so I don't tend to dislike such shows unless they do something offensive or mean. Seiren, despite its plainness, still made my heart skip and delivered on its romantic foundation, so I had fun.
