Text by Patricia Tourancheau. Jean-Marie Villemin's counter-investigation. The recent advances in the file on the assassination of Grégory are due to the tenacity of his parents. If Christine Villemin remains withdrawn from the procedure to preserve her balance, Jean-Marie - by mutual agreement - is conducting the investigation to help the justice to flush out the criminals or to unlock the silent ones, within his own family. In 1993, a « Non-lieu » dismissed Christine Villemin, but that was not enough. From their point of view, some continue to doubt "the mother" and to bog down research in the depths of Vologne. Before his trial for Bernard Laroche murder, Jean-Marie Villemin had scrupulously recorded the elements of the file. The couple’s belief in Bernard Laroche’s involvement in the kidnapping of Grégory has long been forged. But you cannot try a dead man, the legal action has died out with him. This does not prevent him from looking for his possible accomplices. According to Jean-Marie Villemin, people in and around his native village of Vosges know snippets of the story, and at least one person knows the details of the crime. So, in the shadows, for years, Grégory’s father has spent his time dissecting the minutes, drawing up Excel tables and thematic summaries for magistrates. One day in 1999, Jean-Marie Villemin accidentally came across a press article about the resolution, thanks to DNA, of an old affair in the South of France. He inquires and requests the reopening of the file to analyze a half-stamp on a letter from the crow. "Huge disappointment" does not work. The procedure closes again on this failure, in 2001. A few years later, in the summer of 2005, during an exchange with the former Europe 1 journalist Laurence Lacour, who then prepared a TV movie, The Villemin case, the parents learned late that Murielle Bolle, at the end of 1989, confided to the former nurse of Bruyères, Jacqueline Golbain, who had then reported these confidences in 1993 to the radio reporter: it was Bernard Laroche who came to look for her in college on the evening of the crime, October 16, 1984 at 5 p. m., and who went to pick up Grégory in front of his house to take him to Docelles. Jean-Marie Villemin goes on the trail of this woman with the young girl name Talbuis and remarried with a certain Girod, and ends up finding his trace… He sends her a registered letter. She called him on March 29, 2007 at 8:58 pm. He recorded the twenty minutes of conversation on a dictaphone. He questions the caregiver. Golbain tells him that she accompanied Murielle, on December 31, 1989, to the grave of her mother Jeanine who died for the second anniversary of her death: "This is where we both spoke and it is there I said, You know, now that your mom is gone... Talk to her, it may be a stone, but talk to her. " I say, "You didn't take the bus tonight- there Murielle, huh? ”Then she started to cry, she said to me:“ No! But Bernard, Bernard, Bernard… ”Well I say:“ Yes! But why did you retract? "She:" I got corrections. " On the phone, the nurse from the Vosges, then ill, assured Grégory's father that he had already reported these secrets to President Maurice Simon at the end of 1989: "What I saw and heard, quite simply". The clerk "also listened but did not type". However, she was surprised that her statements were not on the record. At the end of the phone, Jean-Marie Villemin is formal: "I assure you that this is not it! There are more than 15, 000 items on file, I scanned everything, finally in a photo, with a digital camera, I didn't see that at all. "He supposes that" Judge Simon must have kept Murielle's secrets under his elbow " while waiting for the confrontation between the applicant, the nurse and also the aunt, Louisette Jacob, with whom Murielle had poured out all the same. But it is not. Jacqueline Golbain mixes in the dates. And Maurice Simon did not have time to hear the ex-nurse on the minutes, or to organize the famous confrontation with Murielle Bolle, because the judge's heart attack very shortly after (in January 1990) and his subsequent amnesia thwarted this project. However, Jean-Marie Villemin does not know it yet and continues on the phone with the ex-nurse: "We were both discussing this with Christine earlier, I am convinced that he kept that for the confrontation because if he had recorded it on PV,... "Jacqueline Golbain:" You would have known. " Jean-Marie Villemin cuts her:" No, it is above all that the others would have known because the lawyer for my parents, civil party, was in any case in league with Welzer ", the defender of the Bolle family. In which case, Grégory's father extrapolates, Murielle would have been "prepared and ready" to face his aunt Louisette and his mother's nurse, witnesses to the veracity of her first confessions designating Laroche: "Murielle, you still have to know that when she is taken to the gendarmerie the first time, it is there that she tells the truth" insists Jacqueline Golbain on the phone. " All these elements should be recorded in black and white in the procedure. On the phone, Grégory's father asks the ex-nurse "a written record of what Murielle told you", so that at least "we have it for our children, even if the file is not reopened later". Jacqueline Golbain, who had already had to flee the Vosges and lost all her customers after her revelations on the trail of an insulin murder in Paris-Match on March 8, 1990, will never bear this testimony in writing, for fear of reprisals. Aware of the weakness of this "new charge" to relaunch the investigation into the assassination of Grégory, Jean-Marie Villemin puts aside his recording. He will keep it until December 2015 and put it in the re-boosted file. In the meantime, he is banking on science. With Christine, they see the prescription looming on the horizon by 2011 and refuse to let it bury the file forever. They do not understand why crimes against humanity and theft of paintings are imprescriptible, and not the kidnapping followed by the death of a child. By April 11, 2011, they must find a solid "new fact" to convince the justice system to revive the investigation. At the same time, Jean-Marie Villemin is therefore studying the progress of the genetic fingerprint and asking for advice from Me Thierry Moser, their faithful lawyer from Mulhouse, who directs them to Professor Pierre Margot of the University of Lausanne. Grégory’s parents go to Switzerland to meet this eminent vice-dean of the Faculty of Law and Criminal Sciences, a pioneer of DNA who then trained the great French experts. They visit the Lausanne School of Criminal Sciences, of which Professor Margot is the director, then ask him for a study on the current possibilities of analyzing objects placed under seal. What Jean-Marie Villemin lists: anonymous letters, envelopes, fulling study, research of digital and genetic traces on stamps and documents; DNA tests of the cords used to tie Grégory, his clothes, the needle of the insulin syringe found near the place of discovery of his body. On August 3, 2007, Professor Margot addressed to Grégory's parents his "Feasibility report on technical and scientific measures possible today". Me Moser joins it to his request of August 10 to have the file reopened on behalf of Christine and Jean-Marie Villemin, who “are not satisfied with the 1993 dismissal, and would like their three children, to know the truth about the causes and the circumstances of the crime of October 16, 1984 of which Grégory was the victim ”. "Fighting for the truth is a sacred duty, " says the lawyer. The Attorney General of the Dijon Court of Appeal, Jean-Marie Beney, seeks the opinion of expert Jean-Paul Moisan from the Nantes-Atlantique Institute of Genetics, which is positive on “an analysis of 'identification by DNA genotyping' of certain exhibits. Grégory's parents then regained hope and won their case on December 3, 2008. The multiple analyzes carried out by the Biomnis laboratory in Lyon on Grégory's clothes, the insulin bite, the cords and the patches led to mixed results at the end of 2009. As the Liberation - October 23, 2009 - indicated to me, the biologist Marie-Hélène Cherpin, director of Biomnis, she clearly characterized, on an anonymous letter sent in July 1985 to Albert Villemin - "I will kill you Villemin family, the next victim is Monique "-, " a male DNA in the middle of the sheet of paper and a female DNA, a priori under the stamp "which soaked overnight in a special product. Biologist Cherpin also "detected at least three other different but mixed DNAs on the cord and inside the knot, which allows people to be excluded but not formally incriminated. " Despite the genetic samples of more than 300 protagonists of history - legal assistants and witnesses included - for a total cost of 800, 000 euros, these DNAs intermingled on the exhibits did not allow to draw any physical evidence. Jean-Marie Villemin then decides to return, 25 years after the facts, to the village of Aumontzey, where the secret is hidden and where he had not returned - the Villemin have settled since January 1988 in the Paris region. For eight years he had seen his parents again, but never at home. After the death, on March 21, 2010, of his enemy brother Michel, carried away by cancer, Jean-Marie feels authorized to return with Christine to Aumontzey. But her mother Monique, who saw fit to warn Ginette, the late Michel's wife, told her of her "epidermal" reaction, which had a nervous breakdown because of their return to the village. Jean-Marie does not fail to be astonished at the tears of his sister-in-law Ginette, quick to declare them personae non gratae a quarter of a century later. When Monique tells her about this episode, she begins to call Ginette a "bitch" who has always "turned" Michel against them. Jean-Marie then decides « to cook » his mother by phone on September 21, 2010 and records it to keep track of this scene which betrays an ever-present hatred. Jean-Marie Villemin wants to collect every clue. He will recall his mother with the same device, on October 14, 2010, to make her talk about the “Saint-Etienne brand electric knitting machine which Ginette used to make layettes, knitwear and sweaters” in the early 1980s. Jean-Marie Villemin persists in wanting to identify background noises behind anonymous calls from the raven with two voices, one from a woman and one from a man. Some sound like weaving squeaks but he wonders if Ginette's machine, "no louder than a sewing machine" according to Monique, can match these sounds. These two tapes were delivered to justice and decrypted by the gendarmes in February 2017. Tirelessly, Jean-Marie Villemin continues to prepare briefs for justice and to refer the gendarmes of the research section of Dijon who have resumed the investigation with more conventional methods. Thus, the father of the child traces the schedules of each other's schedules on the fatal evening, including his own, that of Christine and that of Bernard Laroche, following several scenarios in a document of thirteen pages entitled "Research on the cinematic of the criminal facts ”, and given to the public prosecutor of Dijon on March 6, 2012.
